Sr. Adelino lives a simple life. A good, structured, methodic life.

There are simple rules:

  1. Lunch must always be at twelve and no later.

  • A coffee cup must be brewing at all times.

  • And nothing, and I mean nothing, must interrupt his chess.

Bibó, his furry companion, is complicit in every ritual and abides by every rule with pleasure.

But one day, Sr. Adelino is unexpectedly tasked with caring for his young grandchild. This arrival is results in pure chaos: toys find their way to every nook and cranny; meals are eaten at the wrong times; and silence is replaced with lots, and lots of questions…

Through what feels like an intricate game of chess, something shifts. Disruption becomes connection, and so Sr. Adelino’s world grows larger, warmer, and more alive than he ever expected.
